Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has still got the magic in training, says Lee Grant

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not lost his clinical touch but the Manchester United boss can't live with the power of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

That's according to United's third choice goalkeeper Lee Grant, who revealed the manager likes to get involved in shooting practice.

Solskjaer was part of a lethal forward line during his playing years at United, scoring an impressive 91 league goals. But Grant joked his boss is not as fearsome as the club's current strikers.

'The gaffer loves it,' the goalkeeper told the official UTD podcast .

'The trouble is that they are striking the ball ridiculously. Rashy [Marcus Rashford], Mason [Greenwood], these guys, they are hitting the ball so hard, the gaffer can't live with them now. His accuracy is still there, though.

'Occasionally, the ball will pop out and he will just rattle one in the bottom corner and he'll give you the eyes.'

The shot-stopper also said that all the players like to finish training with a few shots - even the defenders.

'We have got about 25-30 lads, when shooting starts happening, all of a sudden we have got 30 strikers at the club,' he joked.

'People like Victor Lindelof are at the back of the queue and I'm thinking, "I'm sure you are not a striker, I'm pretty sure you are a centre half.'

'The gaffer doesn't even get a look in now when it comes to the shooting drills but it's still there, you get a sense that it is still there.'

Grant joined United in 2018 as back-up for David de Gea and Sergio Romero and has made two appearances in two years.
