Nemanja Matic is reportedly seeking talks with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his future at the club, amid transfer interest from Italy, according to reports.
The midfielder has been a regular feature in the starting XI since joining from Chelsea for £40m in 2017 but fans have remained unconvinced.
He even accepted that he was partly to blame for United's poor campaign, in which they finished sixth.
Despite his struggles, Matic has attracted interest from both Inter and AC Milan and is now seeking reassurances from Solksjaer if he is to stay at the club, according to ESPN.
The United squad are due to fly to Perth on Sunday for the first leg of their three week pre-season tour, which also involves games in Singapore and China.
Matic is expected to travel with the rest of the squad to Australia, but his long term prospects now rest with Solskjaer.
