Rashford, Pogba, McTominay - Man United injury latest and expected return dates

Manchester United have finally reached the Premier League break where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men can recuperate after a hectic six months of fixtures across four competitions.

United will take a warm weather training camp after players have been given some free time to spend with their families.

Some, however, like Luke Shaw, Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard, have taken the opportunity to improve their fitness in Dubai before meeting up with the squad next week.

Others, like Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford, who are out injured, have more time to recover from their setbacks and work towards a return.

Here's a look at each injured player and when United fans can expect them to return to action.

Marcus Rashford
Rashford has been sidelined since he sustained a double stress fracture to his back during United's win over Wolves last month.

Solskjaer said on January 19 that Rashford's injury would require six weeks to heal and that he would need extra time on top of that to rehabilitate.

"Yeah it's a [back] stress fracture," Solskjaer said on January 19. "He'll be out for a while. He won't be back until after the mid-season break. Normally six weeks to heal, then he needs rehab after that."

Possible return date: April

Paul Pogba
Pogba hasn't played for United since Boxing Day and underwent ankle surgery at the beginning of January.

His recovery is ongoing but he is yet to return to the training pitch.

Before United's second-leg against Man City, Solskjaer said that Pogba is ready to resume training, although he will need to work his fitness up individually before returning to full training with his teammates.

He has posted updates to Instagram around the United training ground as he looks to step up his recovery. United next play at Chelsea on February 17 before a trip to Club Brugge three days later.

Possible return date: Late February

Scott McTominay
Like Pogba, McTominay has not played for United since Boxing Day but his absence is due to knee ligament damage.

McTominay offered an update recently, saying: "Obviously the gym work is tough, the running outside is tough. You just have to do your best and make sure your injury is right. Hopefully I will be back as soon as possibly can."

Possible return date: Late February

Axel Tuanzebe
Tuanzebe's not played since before Christmas and has struggled with muscle problems. Solskjaer has not put a precise timescale on his return but he is expected back soon.

Possible return date: February
