Bruno Fernandes has given the biggest hint yet that he is on the brink of sealing his big-money switch to Manchester United after struggling to contain his emotions in what looks set to be his final game for Sporting Lisbon.
Lisbon fell to a 2-1 defeat against Valencia but all eyes were on the Portugal star, who was visibly upset following the pre-season encounter.
As Fernandes stood in the middle of the pitch, he could be seen breaking down in tears as he was surrounding by a handful of team-mates.
And a clip emerged on social media that showed the tearful midfielder following the full-time whistle, the biggest suggestion yet that he has seemingly played his last game for Lisbon.
Fernandes is being heavily tipped to make the move to Old Trafford after impressing for Sporting Lisbon last season.
