Manchester United are still interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele and are prepared to match Tottenham's bid for the midfielder, according to reports.
Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to bring a midfielder to Old Trafford as he continues his summer rebuild and has been linked with a move for the Lyon star.
The France international is expected to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer, with Tottenham believed to be strong favourites to sign the 22-year-old.
And L'Equipe has reported that Spurs have finally agreed on a £64 million fee to make Ndombele the newest member of Mauricio Pochettino's squad.
However, with the player yet to agree personal terms, the French publication claims that United still have hope of hijacking the move.
The Manchester club are believed to be still interested in the Frenchman and could match Tottenham's offer, which will reportedly see them pay £55million up front and £9million in bonuses.
