The versatile attacking midfielder is strongly touted to leave Lisbon this summer after starring this season with 31 goals and 17 assists.
The 24-year-old has been linked with Manchester United , Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, among others.
Sporting want to take advantage of any bidding war and will hold out for at least 70 million euros (£60million), report Portuguese media outlet Record , via Sport Witness .
Record also claims there is hope for United, claiming no deal has been done with City are and there have been no serious negotiations at this point.
Fernandes could be seen as the long term successor to legend David Silva, whose contract runs out at the end of next season.
His international teammate Bernardo Silva has lauded him, saying: "Bruno is a great player. He has made a fantastic season with many goals, many assists that are not normal for a player of his position.
"He has the spearhead numbers and we will see what happens at the end of the season.
"[He is a] player who can play in other championships."
