A TV commentator incredibly tore into Jesse Lingard for his performance against Arsenal on New Year's Day, saying Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should have "sent him home".
The Manchester United midfielder, 27, was hauled off after 58 minutes in the midst of another disappointing showing, replaced by Andreas Pereira.
The Red Devils slipped to a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates as their 2020 opened in frustrating style against a rejuvenated Gunners squad.
During the Arsenal game, Lingard created just one chance, had one shot - which was blocked - with a quarter of his passes going astray.
On top of that, Lingard won just 14 per cent of his duels as he was easily out-muscled by the Gunners' midfield.
And the beIN Sports commentator was quick to single him out, saying: "If I was the manager, I would send Jesse Lingard home at half-time.
"He doesn't create any chances for Manchester United, he's just taking up space on the pitch.
