Man utd news update live:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has defended Manchester United's record in the transfer market after spending £68million on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
The major overhaul of players that was expected at Old Trafford this summer has failed to materialise, with just two new signings through the door and Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia leaving the club.
But Solskjaer is adamant that United will only not be forced to pay over the odds for players as he attempts to revive the club's fortunes following a disappointing season.
'Doing business in the football market is not a quick fix overnight,' said Solskjaer. 'We have players I trust know are going to be successful at this club and we've signed two, Dan and Aaron, with speed, hunger and quality to be part of that.

'We're still in the market looking to do some business but we're patient. We don't have to overpay. You have to have the right players at the right price, and if you look at the squad we've got now there are so many good players.

'The ones working here want to improve. It's not just about fitness, the squad needs to be more robust. Last year we had a run without any defeats but the end was disappointing we couldn't get back to winning ways and need to get back to that.
'The passion in our fans is fantastic and they want us to be successful. I'm speaking to fans, they're very positive and want to see us win again and that's our aim.'
