Bruno Fernandes' agent is flying to England on Wednesday night to thrash out a deal with Manchester United, according to reports.
Portugal international Fernandes is high up on Manchester United's wishlist, but the Red Devils are yet to agree a transfer fee with Sporting Lisbon.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United are only prepared to pay around €35million (£31m) for the midfielder while Sporting are holding out for €60million (£53m).
Recent reports from Portugal claimed Manchester United had already spoken to the player and had agreed personal terms with him over a deal, prior to settling on a fee with Sporting.
And now La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira is reporting that Fernandes' agent Miguel Pinho is set to fly to the UK this Wednesday.
It has been claimed that the agent will discuss a deal with United for the sale of his client.
United have allegedly made a telephone agreement with the agent and are willing to pay the midfielder €6m-a-season (£5.3m) in wages, plus bonuses.
Once this is done United will then reportedly speak to Sporting to settle on a transfer fee.
