KLOPP WANTS TO SIGN DE LIGT AS A DEFENSIVE PARTNER FOR VAN DIJK (BILD)

As if it appeared the move for Matthijs de Ligt couldn't become any more complicated, the German sports paper 'Bild' claims that Liverpool are now in the race to sign the young Ajax captain.

German newspaper Bild reported that Jurgen Klopp has asked his club's management to hire De Ligt to play alongside Van Dijk, the fight is between Barcelona, Manchester City, United and PSG and now Liverpool is entering on the line.



"Will De Ligt be next triumph for Klopp?" is what the front page puts in reference to a move for De Ligt. The centre back has said he won't comment on his future until after UEFA's Nation League has concluded.



Tomorrow they take on England in the first semi-final before playing either the final or the third/fourth place play-off match on Sunday. After that De Ligt is expected to say which club he will sign for in the summer.
