With Chelsea looking increasingly likely to accept Thibaut Courtois' departure to Real Madrid this summer, the club are left with just a few weeks to find a suitable replacement.
The Belgian has entered the final year of his contract with Chelsea, and as the 26-year-old is unwilling to sign a new contract the club are forced to sell or they risk the goalkeeper running down his contract and leaving for free next summer.
Roma's Allison appeared to be a strong candidate to replace Courtois at Stamford Bridge, but a £67million bid from Liverpool looks set to be enough to bring the Brazilian to Anfield and force the Blues to look elsewhere.
Here are five potential goalkeepers Chelsea could go for this summer should Courtois' move to Madrid be confirmed, with the Premier League club already linked with some of Europe's biggest names.
Kasper Schmeichel
Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel is a strong potential candidate for Courtois' replacement at Stamford Bridge, and the Denmark international has done his chances of a big move no harm at all after a stellar World Cup this summer.
Schmeichel's heroics in the last 16 match against Croatia, saving a penalty from Luka Modric in extra-time and making two further stops in the shoot-out that followed, were not enough to get his country through, but reinforced on the world stage his shot-stopping credentials.
A Premier League winner in the 2015-16 season and a regular in the league for Leicester over the last four years, Schmeichel would need no time to adjust to the Premier League and could be exactly what Chelsea need.
Jack Butland
Another domestic option for Chelsea is Jack Butland, who faces a season in the Championship should he remain at Stoke and would likely favour a move back to the top-flight as a player who fought with Jordan Pickford to be England's No 1 ahead of this summer's World Cup.
Stoke are unwilling to part company with the 25-year-old, however, and an asking price of more than £30m could dissuade Chelsea from making a move for a player who was potentially seen as a cheaper option than some of the bigger names touted.
Butland is yet to return to pre-season having been involved with England in Russia, and it remains to be seen how keen the Englishman is to remain at Stoke having heavily criticised the club's recruitment after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed last season.
